Worthy of consideration by serious breeders of quality color, his list of strong attributes is as long as the wall his awards hang on.
Valiant's strengths start with a bright, dense and beautifully fine fleece with a wonderful hand and buttery softness. His fleece is consistent, with both a high-amplitude and high-frequency crimp that carries throughout the staple length.
Under Valiant’s head to toe fleece coverage is a solid, compact frame, exhibiting strong presence and superb conformation. His very typey head simply turns heads, mine included and is one of the best heads in a two year old black male I’ve ever seen. If any of your conformation goals include the addition of a great head, put him on your short list!
Always in selecting a herdsire, we look hard at the strength of ancestry before getting too carried away with phenotype. Valiant’s sire is the legendary JSFI Dakota, a medium fawn 9X Get of Sire winner with a long list of significant award-winning progeny to his credit. His dam Valdivia is herself a typey dark brown AOBA National 1999 first place winner (no championship classes held), and winner of the prestigious Fred Walker Memorial Trophy. With excellence of this caliber in his pedigree, we can’t wait to see what Valiant does when paired with your richly colored females and ours!
